SEDAIN Network Privacy Statement
Last Updated: October 2026 • Effective Date: October 24, 2026
1. Introduction & Purpose of SEDAIN
SEDAIN (Self-Evolving Distributed AI Network, https://www.sedain.com) is an open, decentralized compute and artificial intelligence network. Our mission is to democratize AI compute by allowing personal computers to safely contribute idle capacity to an autonomous, constitutional AI grid.
We take your privacy and computer security with the utmost seriousness. This Privacy Statement explains the specific information collected by our website, desktop client software (SedainSetup.exe / sedain-node), and network nodes, why that data is collected, and how it is protected.
2. Information We Collect
We believe in strict data minimization. We only collect the minimal technical information necessary to deliver decentralized services:
- Account & Identity Data: When you register an account, we collect your email address or username and an asymmetric cryptographic public key (Ed25519) to manage authentication, compute balances, and reward distribution.
- Hardware Performance Telemetry: For contributor nodes running the desktop daemon, technical specifications (CPU model, core/thread count, available RAM, VRAM capacity, and active wattage draw) are sampled to match appropriate AI workloads to capable machines and calculate fair kilowatt-hour energy compensation.
- Network & Standard Server Logs: Standard web server connection data (IP address, browser user-agent, operating system version, and HTTP timestamp) collected for operational health, rate-limiting, and DDoS defense.
- AI Queries & Execution Results: Prompts submitted to the AI network are processed ephemerally. Confidential queries are encrypted in transit and evaluated strictly against the 62-rule AI Constitution before execution.
3. Information We NEVER Collect
- We NEVER access your personal documents, photos, or desktop files.
- We NEVER access your web browser passwords, cookies, or history.
- We NEVER access your microphone, camera, or audio hardware.
- We NEVER collect your private cryptographic keys (private seeds are generated and stored locally on your device).
- We NEVER install hidden cryptocurrency miners or execute unauthorized background scripts.
4. Why We Collect Information
We process collected information strictly for legitimate technical purposes:
- To verify compute jobs and credit contributor rewards onto the double-entry ledger.
- To schedule and route AI inference tasks to appropriately equipped hardware (e.g. models requiring 8GB RAM).
- To enforce the 62-Rule AI Constitution (preventing malware, cyber attacks, and abusive mining).
- To provide automatic, secure software and component updates.
5. Software Safety & Code Integrity (SedainSetup.exe)
The downloadable client software (SedainSetup.exe) is a standalone Windows desktop executable that runs a local node daemon and user interface. It executes cleanly within user-space (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Sedain), requires no administrative privileges, contains no spyware, and communicates strictly over encrypted TLS connections (HTTPS/WSS) and direct node-to-node P2P TCP ports.
Cryptographic SHA-256 verification checksums for every build are publicly published in our release ledger to ensure that software downloaded from sedain.com has not been modified or tampered with.
6. Data Retention & Your Rights
You have full control over your node and data at all times. Contributor hardware can be paused or disconnected with a single click. You may uninstall the software cleanly at any time using the provided uninstaller (Uninstall-Sedain.bat) or via the desktop interface. Ledger account balances associated with your public key remain on the cryptographic ledger.
